Our journey started again in June, Mr. Švihlík and Mrs. Golová were joined by other class teachers such as K. Vomáčková, D. Ženklová and finally K. Pecková. This time the weather was ideal. Our partners were Nol v. Tiem, Karin de Bie, M. Verhoeven, newly Kim Welte and Theo v. Welie. Instead of a beautiful town called Ravenstein we had prepared a sightseeing tour of a capital city of the province called Noord Brabant - s’ Hertogenbosch with its amazing Saint John’s cathedral. Students in groups received cameras; they went sightseeing according to a pre-prepared programme while taking the most Dutch pictures. The results of this competition were announced the last evening at dinner in the school …

Another new feature of our trip was called the port of Rotterdam and Maasvlakte artificial island with guides – the former naval captains. Tremendous experience especially for the boys… For health reasons Roel Bukman could not participate and we were missing him. This year the Dutch flag fluttered on the GJJ building. In Ploskovice our Dutch friends were surprised by the guides in historical costumes. We together with our Dutch friends went for a tour of Škoda Auto in Boleslav instead of the glassworks in Nový Bor, where they sometimes even tried to blow the glass themselves :-). For a change we visited chateau Klášterec nad Ohří and its porcelain museum.
